Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Pictures including Russian Pictures, which included the work A Saucer of Milk by Albert Neuhuys. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,235.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Albert Neuhuys have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Young Love in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 14,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Pictures including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Saucer of Milk von Albert Neuhuys zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.235,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Neuhuys auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Young Love im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 14.400,00.
