The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,040.00 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Albert Neuhuys have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Young Love in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 14,400.00.

Die Arbeit A Cottage Interior With A Mother Peeling Potatoes, Her Child Playing On The Floor von Albert Neuhuys wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.040,00 und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Neuhuys auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Young Love im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 14.400,00.
