Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Albert Neuhuys could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work The Sewing Lesson changed hands for USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,522.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Neuhuys have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Young Love in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 14,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Albert Neuhuys konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit The Sewing Lesson für USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.522,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Neuhuys auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Young Love im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 14.400,00.
