Auction result well in line with expectations
The work River Dreaming by Albert Tucker was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in November 2003. The price achieved of AUD 22,325.00 (€ 13,467.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Tucker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian intruder And Parrots in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 456,000.00 (€ 266,189.11).
