Auction result well in line with expectations
The work River Dreaming by Albert Tucker was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in November 2003. The price achieved of AUD 22,325.00 (€ 13,467.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Tucker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian intruder And Parrots in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 456,000.00 (€ 266,189.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit River Dreaming von Albert Tucker wurde im November 2003 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 22.325,00 (€ 13.467,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Tucker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian intruder And Parrots im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 456.000,00 (€ 266.189,11).
