Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Faun Being Attacked By Parrot by Albert Tucker was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in November 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 21,510.00 (€ 12,528.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Tucker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian intruder And Parrots in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 456,000.00 (€ 266,189.11).

Die Arbeit Faun Being Attacked By Parrot von Albert Tucker wurde im November 2004 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 21.510,00 (€ 12.528,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
