The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,602.69), 58% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Herter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Family Group, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 122,500.00 (€ 85,211.46).
