Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2002 Christies in New York held the auction FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE, which included the work Still Life with Fruit, Peacock and Buddha by Albert Herter. The price achieved of USD 11,750.00 (€ 13,571.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Herter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Family Group in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 85,211.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life with Fruit, Peacock and Buddha von Albert Herter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.750,00 (€ 13.571,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Herter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Family Group im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 85.211,46).
