Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sun Pattern by Albert Herter was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2013. The price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,815.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Herter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Family Group in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 85,211.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sun Pattern von Albert Herter wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.815,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Herter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Family Group im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 85.211,46).
