This work without title by Alan Charlton was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in October 2019. It achieved a price of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,397.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alan Charlton; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Channel Painting no.4 sold at auction in February 2016 with the realized price of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 56,060.22).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alan Charlton wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.397,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alan Charlton; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Channel Painting no.4 im Februar 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 56.060,22).
