Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Diagonal Dengan Batang-Batang Emas (Diagonal With Gold Bars) by Ahmad Sadali for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 25,105.58). This price was achieved in the auction 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 260,000.00 – 360,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ahmad Sadali achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition with Orange Background in April last year with an auction result of HKD 5,292,000.00 (€ 639,841.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Diagonal Dengan Batang-Batang Emas (Diagonal With Gold Bars) von Ahmad Sadali für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 25.105,58) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 260.000,00 – 360.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ahmad Sadali erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition with Orange Background im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.292.000,00 (€ 639.841,32).
