A top price for Ahmad Sadali
This artwork by Ahmad Sadali achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. In the Modern Evening Auction auction, the work Composition with Orange Background sold for HKD 5,292,000.00 (€ 639,841.32) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,000,000.00. This high result makes Composition with Orange Background the most expensive artwork by Ahmad Sadali that we have observed at auctions so far.
