This artwork by Augustin Ubeda achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2006. In the The House Sale auction, the work Desir de Jeu sold for USD 6,600.00 (€ 5,428.52) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Augustin Ubeda; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Composition A La Tranche De Pasteque, Circa 1960 sold at auction in October 2006 with the realized price of EUR 6,166.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Augustin Ubeda erzielte im Januar 2006 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The House Sale wurde die Arbeit Desir de Jeu für USD 6.600,00 (€ 5.428,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Augustin Ubeda; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Composition A La Tranche De Pasteque, Circa 1960 im Oktober 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 6.166,00.
