In January 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings Part II, which included the work The Penitent Magdalene by Agostino Carracci. The auction ended at the price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,814.81), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Agostino Carracci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Olimpia Luna As Judith And Melchiorre Zoppio As Holofernes in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 869,000.00 (€ 643,703.70).

Im Januar 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Penitent Magdalene von Agostino Carracci zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.814,81) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Agostino Carracci erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Olimpia Luna As Judith And Melchiorre Zoppio As Holofernes im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 869.000,00 (€ 643.703,70).
