Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Dessins de la Collection Christian et Isabelle Adrien, which included the work Recto: Seated Female Figure Holding An Apple, With Two Children And A Dog; Verso: Studies Of A Crouching Woman Leaning Forward, And Of A Male Head And Face by Agostino Carracci. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 26,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Agostino Carracci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Olimpia Luna As Judith And Melchiorre Zoppio As Holofernes in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 869,000.00 (€ 643,703.70).

Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Dessins de la Collection Christian et Isabelle Adrien durch, in der auch die Arbeit Recto: Seated Female Figure Holding An Apple, With Two Children And A Dog; Verso: Studies Of A Crouching Woman Leaning Forward, And Of A Male Head And Face von Agostino Carracci zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 26.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Agostino Carracci erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Olimpia Luna As Judith And Melchiorre Zoppio As Holofernes im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 869.000,00 (€ 643.703,70).
