Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Last Supper by Agostino Carracci was sold in the The Collection of A. Alfred Taubman: Old Masters auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2016. Here, the upper estimate of USD 250,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 286,000.00 (€ 264,032.50). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Agostino Carracci - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Olimpia Luna As Judith And Melchiorre Zoppio As Holofernes, which sold at auction in January 2014 for USD 869,000.00 (€ 643,703.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Last Supper von Agostino Carracci wurde im Januar 2016 in der Auktion The Collection of A. Alfred Taubman: Old Masters bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 250.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 286.000,00 (€ 264.032,50) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Agostino Carracci mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of Olimpia Luna As Judith And Melchiorre Zoppio As Holofernes beobachtet, die im Januar 2014 für USD 869.000,00 (€ 643.703,70) versteigert wurde.
