The work Paintings and Drawings 1974-1990 by Agnes Martin was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in June this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,620.00 (€ 8,868.37), 27% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Agnes Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #44 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 17,728,800.00 (€ 15,707,273.85).

Die Arbeit Paintings and Drawings 1974-1990 von Agnes Martin wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.620,00 (€ 8.868,37) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Agnes Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #44 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.728.800,00 (€ 15.707.273,85).
