Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in London held the auction 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale, which included the work Turning Point 1 by Adrian Ghenie. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,682,000.00 (€ 3,124,500.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,200,000.00 – 2,800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adrian Ghenie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pie Fight Interior 12, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 81,060,000.00 (€ 9,623,561.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Turning Point 1 von Adrian Ghenie zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.682.000,00 (€ 3.124.500,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.200.000,00 – 2.800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Adrian Ghenie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pie Fight Interior 12 beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 81.060.000,00 (€ 9.623.561,64) versteigert wurde.
