Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Adriaen van de Velde achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2019. In the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna auction, the work A herdsman with cattle and goats on a river bank sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,724.17) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adriaen van de Velde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View from the Dunes out to Sea in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 562,500.00 (€ 659,647.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Adriaen van de Velde erzielte im Juli 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna wurde die Arbeit A herdsman with cattle and goats on a river bank für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.724,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adriaen van de Velde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View from the Dunes out to Sea im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 562.500,00 (€ 659.647,88).
