This artwork by Adriaen van de Velde achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2021. In the Important Spring Sale auction, the work Hermes, Io and Argus sold for SEK 46,000.00 (€ 4,534.77) - well above the upper estimate of SEK 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adriaen van de Velde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View from the Dunes out to Sea in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 562,500.00 (€ 659,647.88).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Adriaen van de Velde erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Spring Sale wurde die Arbeit Hermes, Io and Argus für SEK 46.000,00 (€ 4.534,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von SEK 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adriaen van de Velde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View from the Dunes out to Sea im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 562.500,00 (€ 659.647,88).
