Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adriaen van de Velde auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View from the Dunes out to Sea im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 562.500,00 (€ 659.647,88).
