Auction result well in line with expectations
The work No Smoking by Adel Abdessemed was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 3,047.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adel Abdessemed achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Klan in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 206,500.00 (€ 263,670.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit No Smoking von Adel Abdessemed kam im September 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 3.047,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adel Abdessemed erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Klan im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 206.500,00 (€ 263.670,67).
