Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle, which included the work Galaxy Girl by Adam Handler. The price achieved of HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,817.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adam Handler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ghost Abduction in a Lost Flower Garden in March last year with an auction result of HKD 441,000.00 (€ 50,766.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Galaxy Girl von Adam Handler zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.817,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adam Handler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ghost Abduction in a Lost Flower Garden im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 441.000,00 (€ 50.766,88).
