Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ghost Buddy Abduction in the Swirling Haze of Night by Adam Handler was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July last year. The price achieved of HKD 119,700.00 (€ 14,936.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adam Handler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ghost Abduction in a Lost Flower Garden, which sold at auction in March last year for HKD 441,000.00 (€ 50,766.88).

Die Arbeit Ghost Buddy Abduction in the Swirling Haze of Night von Adam Handler kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 119.700,00 (€ 14.936,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Adam Handler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ghost Abduction in a Lost Flower Garden beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für HKD 441.000,00 (€ 50.766,88) versteigert wurde.
