Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work A rider with his horse in a landscape by Abraham van Strij. The price achieved of EUR 12,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Abraham van Strij have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An interior with a child seated in a high chair teasing a dog, a servant washing by the window behind her in November 2003 with an auction result of EUR 59,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A rider with his horse in a landscape von Abraham van Strij zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abraham van Strij auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An interior with a child seated in a high chair teasing a dog, a servant washing by the window behind her im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 59.750,00.
