Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2002 Christies in London held the auction British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures, which included the work A stream in a wooded landscape by Abraham Hulk Jnr.. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,728.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abraham Hulk Jnr. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of Albury Heath, Surrey, which sold at auction in September 2000 for GBP 3,055.00 (€ 5,111.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A stream in a wooded landscape von Abraham Hulk Jnr. zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.057,50 (€ 1.728,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Abraham Hulk Jnr. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View of Albury Heath, Surrey beobachtet, die im September 2000 für GBP 3.055,00 (€ 5.111,95) versteigert wurde.
