Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A quiet backwater by Abraham Hulk Jnr. was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in October 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 240.00 (€ 353.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Hulk Jnr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Albury Heath, Surrey in September 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,055.00 (€ 5,111.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A quiet backwater von Abraham Hulk Jnr. wurde im Oktober 2005 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 240,00 (€ 353,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham Hulk Jnr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of Albury Heath, Surrey im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.055,00 (€ 5.111,95).
