Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View Near Totnes, Devon by Abraham Hulk Jnr. was sold in the British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings auction at Sothebys in Olympia in July 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,620.00 (€ 2,406.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abraham Hulk Jnr. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of Albury Heath, Surrey, which sold at auction in September 2000 for GBP 3,055.00 (€ 5,111.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit View Near Totnes, Devon von Abraham Hulk Jnr. wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.620,00 (€ 2.406,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Abraham Hulk Jnr. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View of Albury Heath, Surrey beobachtet, die im September 2000 für GBP 3.055,00 (€ 5.111,95) versteigert wurde.
