Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Abigail Lane could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Day Auction auction, the work Ink Pad (Red) changed hands for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,400.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abigail Lane - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ink Pad I, which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 6,815.00 (€ 10,802.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Abigail Lane konnte im Juni 2009 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit Ink Pad (Red) für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.400,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Abigail Lane mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ink Pad I beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für GBP 6.815,00 (€ 10.802,61) versteigert wurde.
