Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 11,430.00 (€ 10,815.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abelardo Morell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Detail of Book Damaged by Water, 2001, which sold at auction in October 2016 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,367.27).
