Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Bord De Seine by Abel Lauvray was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in March 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,002.65). Other works by Abel Lauvray have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2007 by the work Avignon at GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,239.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Bord De Seine von Abel Lauvray im März 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.040,00 (€ 3.002,65) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Abel Lauvray wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2007 die Arbeit Avignon mit GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.239,03).
