Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Selected Images by Abe Frajndlich for USD 625.00 (€ 581.88). This price was achieved in the auction Joy, Love and Peace: The Peter B. Lewis Collection at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Abe Frajndlich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work „Art Blakey, Sweet Basil′s, New York City, April 20, 1986“. in May 2014 with an auction result of EUR 2,375.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Selected Images von Abe Frajndlich für USD 625,00 (€ 581,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Joy, Love and Peace: The Peter B. Lewis Collection bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abe Frajndlich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit „Art Blakey, Sweet Basil′s, New York City, April 20, 1986“. im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.375,00.
