Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 Sothebys in Doha held the auction Contemporary Art / Doha, which included the work L'Or Des Coupoles (Golden Domes) by Abdallah Benanteur. It changed hands for a price of USD 43,750.00 (€ 34,916.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abdallah Benanteur - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Des Pots et des Bouteilles, which sold at auction in October 2008 for USD 116,500.00 (€ 91,862.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Sothebys in Doha die Auktion Contemporary Art / Doha durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Or Des Coupoles (Golden Domes) von Abdallah Benanteur zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 34.916,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Abdallah Benanteur mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Des Pots et des Bouteilles beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für USD 116.500,00 (€ 91.862,48) versteigert wurde.
