Despite a disappointment, a good price for Abdallah Benanteur
When the work Des Pots et des Bouteilles by Abdallah Benanteur was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in October 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 120,000.00 – 160,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 116,500.00 (€ 91,862.48). Despite this disappointing result, Des Pots et des Bouteilles is the most expensive artwork by Abdallah Benanteur that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Abdallah Benanteur
Als die Arbeit Des Pots et des Bouteilles von Abdallah Benanteur im Oktober 2008 bei Christies in Dubai versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 120.000,00 – 160.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 116.500,00 (€ 91.862,48) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Des Pots et des Bouteilles das teuerste Kunstwerk von Abdallah Benanteur, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
