Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Abbott Fuller Graves could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art Online auction, the work Family by the Fire, Jamaica changed hands for USD 1,536.00 (€ 1,417.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abbott Fuller Graves achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grandmother's Doorway in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 180,000.00 (€ 145,760.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Abbott Fuller Graves konnte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Family by the Fire, Jamaica für USD 1.536,00 (€ 1.417,10) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abbott Fuller Graves erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grandmother's Doorway im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 180.000,00 (€ 145.760,79).
