Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bouquet Of Peonies by Abbott Fuller Graves was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 60,000.00 (€ 50,428.64), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abbott Fuller Graves - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grandmother's Doorway, which sold at auction in May 2005 for USD 180,000.00 (€ 145,760.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bouquet Of Peonies von Abbott Fuller Graves wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 50.428,64) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Abbott Fuller Graves mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grandmother's Doorway beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für USD 180.000,00 (€ 145.760,79) versteigert wurde.
