Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Aaron Harry Gorson could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work The Fourth Of July changed hands for USD 28,125.00 (€ 19,973.72) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aaron Harry Gorson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Steel Mill, Pennsylvania, which sold at auction in December 2013 for USD 92,500.00 (€ 67,131.14).
