Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work A.Teamer by Aaron Fowler. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,900.00 (€ 16,325.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aaron Fowler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tough Love, which sold at auction in December 2019 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 50,102.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit A.Teamer von Aaron Fowler zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 16.325,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Aaron Fowler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tough Love beobachtet, die im Dezember 2019 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 50.102,43) versteigert wurde.
