In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs, which included the work Whipping The Willows For Chubb by A. Roland Knight. The result of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,736.38) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by A. Roland Knight have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Perch; Salmon and Trout; Roach; Pike; Barbel and Chub; and Trout -the first leap in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 9,560.00 (€ 14,228.14).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Whipping The Willows For Chubb von A. Roland Knight zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.736,38) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von A. Roland Knight auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Perch; Salmon and Trout; Roach; Pike; Barbel and Chub; and Trout -the first leap im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.560,00 (€ 14.228,14).
