Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A perch rising by A. Roland Knight was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in July 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 794.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by A. Roland Knight achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Perch; Salmon and Trout; Roach; Pike; Barbel and Chub; and Trout -the first leap in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 9,560.00 (€ 14,228.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A perch rising von A. Roland Knight wurde im Juli 2008 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 794,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von A. Roland Knight erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Perch; Salmon and Trout; Roach; Pike; Barbel and Chub; and Trout -the first leap im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.560,00 (€ 14.228,14).
