This work without title by Alwar Balasubramaniam was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2006. It achieved a price of USD 6,600.00 (€ 5,202.18), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 32%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alwar Balasubramaniam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gravity in December 2014 with an auction result of INR 11,025,000.00 (€ 143,950.91).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alwar Balasubramaniam kam im September 2006 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.600,00 (€ 5.202,18) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 32%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alwar Balasubramaniam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gravity im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 11.025.000,00 (€ 143.950,91).
