Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Alwar Balasubramaniam was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,640.00 (€ 15,901.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alwar Balasubramaniam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gravity in December 2014 with an auction result of INR 11,025,000.00 (€ 143,950.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alwar Balasubramaniam kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.640,00 (€ 15.901,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alwar Balasubramaniam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gravity im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 11.025.000,00 (€ 143.950,91).
