Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Alwar Balasubramaniam was sold in the South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2010. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,947.65). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alwar Balasubramaniam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gravity in December 2014 with an auction result of INR 11,025,000.00 (€ 143,950.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alwar Balasubramaniam wurde im September 2010 in der Auktion South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.947,65) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alwar Balasubramaniam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gravity im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 11.025.000,00 (€ 143.950,91).
