The work Gravity by Alwar Balasubramaniam was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2012. It achieved a price of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 53,553.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alwar Balasubramaniam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gravity, which sold at auction in December 2014 for INR 11,025,000.00 (€ 143,950.91).

Die Arbeit Gravity von Alwar Balasubramaniam kam im Juni 2012 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 43.250,00 (€ 53.553,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Für andere Arbeiten von Alwar Balasubramaniam mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gravity beobachtet, die im Dezember 2014 für INR 11.025.000,00 (€ 143.950,91) versteigert wurde.
