Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fractured Conversations A to F by Alwar Balasubramaniam was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2016. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,572.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alwar Balasubramaniam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gravity in December 2014 with an auction result of INR 11,025,000.00 (€ 143,950.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fractured Conversations A to F von Alwar Balasubramaniam kam im September 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.572,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alwar Balasubramaniam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gravity im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 11.025.000,00 (€ 143.950,91).
