Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Topología Erótica (From The Series Las Amazonas) by Zilia Sánchez was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2008. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,831.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zilia Sánchez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Topología Erótica in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 175,000.00 (€ 155,860.35).
