A top price for Zhu Xiaoqing - as previously expected
In May this year Christies in Cologne held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Snowscape by Zhu Xiaoqing. The price achieved of HKD 100,800.00 (€ 12,082.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Snowscape is the most expensive artwork by Zhu Xiaoqing that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Köln die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snowscape von Zhu Xiaoqing zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.800,00 (€ 12.082,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Snowscape das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zhu Xiaoqing, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
