In September 2017 Christies in Shanghai held the auction First Open | Shanghai, which included the work Mountain Clouds by Zhu Xiaoqing. The »bidding war« ended at CNY 81,600.00 (€ 10,382.19), 63% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhu Xiaoqing; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Snowscape sold at auction in May this year with the realized price of HKD 100,800.00 (€ 12,082.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in Shanghai die Auktion First Open | Shanghai durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain Clouds von Zhu Xiaoqing zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CNY 81.600,00 (€ 10.382,19) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhu Xiaoqing; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Snowscape im Mai diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 100.800,00 (€ 12.082,00).
