Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Sea of Clouds by Zhu Xiaoqing. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,955.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhu Xiaoqing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snowscape, which sold at auction in May this year for HKD 100,800.00 (€ 12,082.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sea of Clouds von Zhu Xiaoqing zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.955,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhu Xiaoqing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Snowscape beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für HKD 100.800,00 (€ 12.082,00) versteigert wurde.
