This artwork by Zhu Wenhou achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II auction, the work Birds To The Emperor sold for HKD 59,000.00 (€ 6,493.65) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 32,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhu Wenhou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tiger, Elephant, et al., which sold at auction in October 2012 for HKD 138,000.00 (€ 13,738.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 84 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhu Wenhou erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II wurde die Arbeit Birds To The Emperor für HKD 59.000,00 (€ 6.493,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 32.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhu Wenhou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tiger, Elephant, et al. beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für HKD 138.000,00 (€ 13.738,23) versteigert wurde.
