Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2017 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II, which included the work Monkeys Playing by Zhu Wenhou. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 32,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 33,040.00 (€ 3,636.44). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhu Wenhou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tiger, Elephant, et al., which sold at auction in October 2012 for HKD 138,000.00 (€ 13,738.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2017 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Monkeys Playing von Zhu Wenhou zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 32.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 33.040,00 (€ 3.636,44) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhu Wenhou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tiger, Elephant, et al. beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für HKD 138.000,00 (€ 13.738,23) versteigert wurde.
